Well, i am sure for most of you GDH is Alien.
what if i ask, Whats the GDP ? In some other countries, GNP.
    Most would be able to answer it.

GDH stands for Gross Domestic Happiness.

 In our so called busy lives ,we tend to forget what exactly are we working for.
    we read magazines to keep ourselves one step ahead the competition.we get acquainted with various financial,economic  indicators. we know what GDP/GNP is, what is the P/E Ratio of the stock and we get so engrossed and used to our routine that we simply ignore our physical and emotional well being.We all give an simple excuse - lack of time.

   If that excuse is real (most of the time it's not ),  then its time to  manage your time.Time to pause and look back and re-engineer your Life process.All i am asking you,inviting you to do is to keep a meeting with yourself every weekend .Reflect on the week that you have spent and review it and just see how can the work - life balance was, is there anything to be improved both at office and home as well,how much quality time did u spend with you kids and family.Because your GDH depends on it.

A simple way to do this is  listing  out  10 things that give  you the most joy and see out of those 10 things how many things did you manage to do and rate yourself on scale of 1 to 10 and review if you are nearing to 10 every week.If you do so ;COnsider yourself the happiest person on the face of this earth and make merry and bask in the glory that your HQ  (Hapiness Quotient ) is more than your IQ and EQ together.

 So create this one more indicator,may be the most important indicator and Keep a Check on it.This is perhaps the best indicator of the quality of your life.

MAY THE INFINITE HAPINESS BE WITH YOU. ALWAYS.

i felt like writing this  because i somehow remembered a news clip which i saw sometime back.i took long to write this because i wanted the message to be very clear.

In some tier II  city of India, a kind and wise man in his sixties nearing his seventies teaches very young children to swim. He's been doing this since past many years with the same zeal and passion he had doing it for the very first time.

Somehow these efforts were recognized and appreciated by the local authority and state government decided to felicitate this simple man who is relentlessly living his living at his highest potential by offering his service, expertise  to next generation.

When he came to know about this he, very humbly, respecting the state government, refused to accept this award.

All of you Will be surprised to know what reason he gave for not accepting any award. Because he also lives in the same world where peole are using other people so they move forward in their careers,doing the things they do hoping someday the society will reward them for their efforts.

Here's what he said, " If i accept this award or any other award for the work i am doing; i will loose the eternal joy and happiness that i get from my work."

Simply Excellent . Isn't he? He's True Alchemist.
Shaping those young children (base metal) into great swimmers of tomorrow (gold).

How often do we get to hear about such People?
I am glad that i did.
This excellence comes from the inner simplicity and beauty of thoughts.

He may not be a millionaire, a celebrity but over the years he has acquired a wealth which very few people can even think of doing.

This innate simplicity does not necessarily come by living  below one's means,detachment from the material world, which most people think.

Its good to be successful ,wealthy and very famous.One can wear gucci, prada & drive Ferrari and still maintain such simplicity and humility in thoughts and actions.
And by being simple , one  exhibits  the Excellence in every gesture.Though it sounds very simple,Being Genuinely simple is one of the complex business on the face  of this earth.

Be simple.  Exuberate Excellence.

1. How would we live each moment  if we are told that we are a fearless creatures  without any  limitations to our being?
